In the sunlight you shine

In the moonlight you glisten

In the darkness you glow

You are golden



That’s what I want to tell you

That’s what I need to show you

That’s what I will proclaim to you

 I wish we were together

I wish we could be as one

I wish we could be truly free

You are golden



I love how your laugh brings smiles to faces

I love how your voice floats on the breeze

I love how you hold our son close

You are golden



Our son is truly a magnificent being

Our son’s laughter lights up our world

Our son’s smile brings nothing but joy

You are golden



He has real friends now

He has an eternal smile upon his face

He has truly grown up

You are golden



But I still need your smile
