Down a Corridor

Another poem.  This one was inspired by another author's work, but since no characters or settings are used I have no trouble showing it here.

Down a corridor
And through a door
Lies a world
I wish I knew more

Yet I remain a stranger
That world is so bright
It is full of danger
Because of the light

I can never enter
And bring myself joy
I must shun the center
And play with my toy

So outside I remain
With a toy for a mate
In my dark domain
For it is my fate
